Job Description

This is a 2nd shift position, in Thorp WI. Monday-Thursday 3:25pm-1:55am OT on Fridays as needed. Hours could vary based on maintenance needs/equipment down times. 



Overview 



Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor this position is responsible for supporting various maintenance functions including but not limited to: troubleshooting running equipment, modifications to existing equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Position will require flexible hours to include potential weekends. Must be able to work overtime. 



 



Responsibilities 




  • Strong, relentless and consistent focus on safety 




  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment 




  • Performing preventative maintenance 




  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance on equipment and throughout facility 




  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary 




  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them 




  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary 




  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually 




  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment 




  • Other duties as assigned 



  



Knowledge / Skill / Abilities 




  • Industrial HVAC knowledge and demonstrated skills 




  • Proven maintenance experience, such as repairs associated with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems 




  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools 




  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts 




  • Ability to check/read blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary 




  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches 




  • Forklift, man lift and associated safety equipment experience, preferred 




  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices 




  • CNC equipment experiences preferred 




  • Software and program loading experience preferred 




  • Welding and metal fabrication experience preferred 




  • Strong organizational, follow up, and communication skill and extreme eye for detail 




  • Strong time management skills, maintaining an active work list and timely completion of work items 




  • Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
