Jeppesen ForeFlight is looking for a motivated software engineer to join our development team. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend systems used to support our customers.

Technically, this person must have proven experience with full-stack software development in our core relevant technologies.  You must be comfortable taking requirements, breaking them down, and implementing them with well-written code.  These features will span the server backend through to a web-based visual layer.

Professionally, this person has a track record of completing projects independently, is driven to execute, seeks advice and direction from team members when needed, and plows ahead to completion when the path forward is clear. This role is open to multiple levels which will be determined throughout the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full-stack software development using:
• Java, Python, and/or C#
• React
• Familiarity with SQL and experience with RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle)
• Are good with finding the best way forward in ambiguous situations
• Have a bias toward action and getting results
• Communicate effectively and kindly with many different roles
• Enjoy helping others work through unfamiliar domains

Preferred Qualifications:

• Development experience with Spring or Spring Boot
• Experience with AWS (ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, Aurora, SQS, etc)
• Typescript
• Pilot or aviation enthusiast
