Job Description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for monitoring, auditing and implementing continuous improvement
with regards to work in process material at all stages in LP. This position reports out any issues
regarding tagging deficiencies or handling process that create risk of product mix or damage
from handling. The position also oversees the waste collection and recycling program to ensure
compliance to NAS Environmental standards

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Conduct parking support audits for all park zones to ensure proper parking positions of
existing materials.
a. Re-park material; inform area group lead and work with Technical department to
address systemic issues.
2. Participates in improvement projects that help support product traceability.
3. Participates in improvement projects that help support waste stream and recycling efforts
to ensure compliance and improvement targets are met.
4. Reports and tracks all types of material handing damage.
5. Coordinates and schedules waste removal services with both internal and external service
providers as needed.
6. Audits and works with contracted material handler supervisors to ensure proper
procedures are followed and changes as required are implemented.
7. Reviews, edits and creates queries in AS400 to assist in inventory management and
tracking.
8. Works with planning department to ensure special sample requests or movements are
carried out.
9. Works with area Group Leads and Supervisor to ensure SWI updates are made pertaining
to inventory control and waste/recycling management. Monitors quality and yield trends
to achieve highest levels of prime product available to customers.
10. Participates in 6S program.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Must work well with others.
2. Minimum of High School or GED equivalency.

7. Leadership skills
8. Good problem solving skills


PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Mobility in plant
•While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand,
walk, etc.
•The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks
•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
•Visual ability with or without correction
•Communication abilities

HEALTH AND SAFETY:
1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
2.Comply with company safety rules, policies, procedures, as well as job specific work
instructions and JSAs.
3. Report the absence of or defect in any personal protective equipment or clothing to the
Supervisor or Manager immediately
4. Use and wear the personal protective equipment, protective devices and clothing that is
required. The following is the minimum:
a. Metatarsal boots
b. Safety glasses
c. Hearing protection
d. Hard Hat
Some areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as:
e.Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with
company policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
f. Fire Retardant clothing
g. Acid PPE
5. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the
Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policies or procedures
6. Must follow all Lockout Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated equipment and
machinery
7. Maintain a clean and safe work area

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
2. Clean, well ventilated and safe work areas.
