Cleveland Range, is a leading manufacturer and designer of steam cooking equipment. We have a long and proud history of serving the foodservice industry with quality and innovative cooking devices. Our current product offerings include steamers, combination steamer-ovens, kettles, braising pans and specialty application ovens.



Working independently, the Technical Service Specialist VII helps to provide best-in-class service for the brand through servicing the Cleveland product line. The position is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting steam and electrical systems. The Tech Service Specialist VII may work with assigned product reps to build positive working relationships and aid in educating our end users. This role regularly uses in-depth technical knowledge of refrigeration systems and electrical principles. As a Cleveland expert you must be able to acquire product knowledge and put it into training material that will be used to train our service network.



This is an in office role



Major Accountability




  • Provide product training to our service network via web and in person training

  • Provide technical expertise to service techs, service agencies, sales and customers via phone, email, or possibly at a customer's location.

  • Determine needed repairs using pictures, info from field, control data or discussion with customer.

  • Evaluate how long repairs should take to ensure repairs are completed within guidelines.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities




  • Provide troubleshooting and operational support for steam and electrical systems, evaluate how long repairs should take to ensure repairs are completed within guidelines.

  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of electronic controls, sequence of operations, and steam components to assist customers in troubleshooting and repairing units.

  • Provide training to less senior Service Techs

  • Determine needed repairs using pictures, info from field, control data or discussion with customer.

  • Review escalated claims that are outside of our warranty guidelines to determine if they warrant processing.

  • Build relationships with assigned field reps to provide product support and education

  • Participates in “on call” rotation within team if.

  • Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values.
