Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:



Under the direction of the Owner, Executive Director, Program Administrator, Field Supervisor; the Field Supervisor Assistant is responsible for assisting supervising employees assigned to SLS, ILS or AST cases in the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) through the guidance of area Regional Centers, focusing on increasing consumer independence by providing independent living skills to adults with developmental disabilities. Field Supervisor Assistant will support educators as they strive to provide services which support a consumer's right to choice, independence, and self-empowerment while establishing realistic goal opportunities in the areas of self-care, public transportation, socialization and vocational exploration.



 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES:




  • Work collaboratively with Educators and Field Supervisor (or other management members) to identify and evaluate the development of specific and realistic consumer goals related to teaching independent living skills, adaptive skills or supported living.

  • Supervise clients and provide monthly Quality Assurance (QA) audits through random field visits weekly

  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) calls to ensure consumer services are being provided according to treatment plan.

  • File an "Incident Report" to relative agency (ASP, DDS); abuse includes sexual and physical as well as isolation and neglect within RC regulations

  • Work collaboratively with Case Specialists and Educators to encourage their active involvement in proper decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution.

  • Attend client sessions, as needed, of educators and newly hired educators to ensure appropriate support is provided.

  • Advocate and work closely with consumer to ensure consumer has active services through governmental agencies such as Medi-Cal, AFDC, SSI, IHSS and other non-profit organizations.

  • Maintain active communication and provide feedback to Educators, Case Specialists and Field Supervisor

  • Represent company during IPP meetings and consumer meetings, as needed

  • Be available after hours for emergencies

  • Oversee consumers and employees on caseload to ensure professionalism and appropriate support is provided

  • Schedule educators according to client’s treatment plan to ensure proper supervision, as needed.

Qualifications


KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:




  • Ability to be creative, proactive and sensitive in solving consumer's problem and complex issues

  • Valid CA Driver’s License & Good driving record-Reliable Auto & Valid Insurance

  • Cell Phone with Reliable Service (For Communication)

  • Able to Work Independently; Organized / Professional / Responsible; Energetic Personality / Self Motivated

  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification

  • Ability to take all educational training by Roman Empire

  • Criminal Record clearance, child abuse index report, TB clearance



 



EDUCATION:




  • Associate’s degree preferred in human services or related field

  • Supervisor experience in the field of social services or related field
