Job Summary:
The Counter Server at Dune Café is the face of the guest experience, responsible for crafting beautiful, made-to-order salads and smoothie bowls while delivering warm, attentive service. This role requires speed, precision, and a strong eye for presentation, ensuring each dish reflects the clean, vibrant aesthetic of our brand.

 

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Welcome each guest with a polished, friendly, and approachable demeanor
  • Provide knowledgeable guidance on menu offerings, ingredients, and dietary accommodations
  • Create a seamless and elevated counter service experience reflective of a luxury coastal property

Food Preparation & Presentation

  • Prepare salads and smoothie bowls to order with consistency and attention to detail
  • Execute recipes with precision while maintaining speed during high-volume periods
  • Ensure all items are presented with a clean, vibrant, and visually appealing finish

Operational Excellence

  • Accurately input orders into Simphony POS and process payments efficiently
  • Maintain full station readiness, including prep of fruits, vegetables, grains, and toppings
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management

Cleanliness & Standards

  • Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a pristine and organized workstation at all times
  • Follow all health department regulations and internal SOPs

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in a café, juice bar, or fast-casual environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic food preparation skills
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays and peak summer periods
