- Perform technical analysis related to systems design and development
- Derive and allocate system or subsystem requirements and implement verification and validation
- Conduct tasks associated with systems engineering life cycle and the DoD design review process
- Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques
- Support systems analysis (e.g., discrete event simulation) with simulation techniques
- Follow, perform, and record the results of the execution of a test plan
- Exercise judgment to make recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in technical writing including white papers, customer deliverable documents, etc.
- Collaborate with leadership at all levels
- Lead technical reviews and meetings, internal and external
- Perform duties under supervision of staff and chief engineers
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Other duties as assigned
