We are currently seeking a Refracting Vision Technician to execute administrative and optometric duties and positively maximize each patient visit. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
This position will be at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.
Pay range: $25-$28/hour
Job Responsibilities
- Train other refracting vision technicians and provide constructive feedback
- Understand the use of the pre-test equipment to best perform pre-testing tasks
- Perform pre-tests for all appointment types including but not limited to: calling the patient back, performing pre-tests, recording testing results, and disinfecting after all patients
- Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
- Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time
- Bilingual a plus
