    Teacher; Special Education - Resource; Elementary [POOL] 
    Contract type: Continuing or Leave Replacement*
    FTE: up to 1.0 
    Grades: K-5
    Anticipated start date: August 19, 2026
    Salary: $68,707 - $135,620 per year (2025-26 SVEA Salary Schedule *2026-27 TBD). Salary range based on 1.0 FTE.

    This posting is open to anyone wishing to be added to the Snoqualmie Valley School District applicant pool for the 2026-27 school year.     **Required: Valid Washington State certificate with Special Education endorsement (students may submit a note stating when certificate is expected).


    Qualifications and experience preferred but not required are: 

    • Reading Mastery or Connecting Math Concepts.
    • Providing training to general education staff on accommodations and modifications.
    • Supervising paraeducators.
    • Supporting special education students in the self contained and general education classroom.
    • Working with students at the K-5 grade level.
    • Working with social, behavioral, and adaptive needs.
    • Caring for students' physical needs
    • Consultation and collaboration with general education teachers and other special education staff.
    • Collaboration with general education staff on accommodations and modifications.

    Benefit Eligibility:

     

    • Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*
    • Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
    • Paid Holidays: This position is not eligible for paid holidays.
    • Paid Time Off: Certificated employees receive 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days each school year. Sick leave and discretionary personal leave days are based on scheduled hours and position start date.
