PURPOSE:
Develop and lead supplier quality management programs to ensure raw materials and third-party manufactured products and services meet company standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage supplier audits, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain performance and mitigate quality risks. 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute supplier quality strategies in partnership with Procurement and Operations 
  • Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to verify compliance with quality and regulatory standards 
  • Establish clear communication of quality requirements and provide training to suppliers 
  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and monitor performance metrics 
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and reduce defects 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality requirements and resolve issues 
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier quality; develop contingency plans 
  • Travel 50%+

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in quality leadership roles
  • 5+ years of experience in packaging QA
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Assurance
  • ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional 
  • Experience in supplier audits and quality systems management 

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities 
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with an emphasis on executive-level engagement
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage complex projects 
  • Expertise in quality assurance and supplier performance improvement 
  • High attention to detail and results orientation
