Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for supervising/coordinating the day to day operations of a manufacturing cell. 

DUTIES:

  1. Schedule orders through facility, other TA locations, and vendors.
  2. Supervise employees and determine shift hours.
  3. Approve time in UKG.
  4. Obtain all IOA’s, Lead Reports, Waivers, VAM Approval, Russia Legal Exportation document.
  5. Create PR’s for outside services, consumables, inserts, thread protectors, re-calibration, gauges, maintenance, and follow up with the completion and receiving in system.
  6. Order items on Grainger and/or Staples.
  7. Coordinate TPI, order gages Via My VAM.
  8. Perform HSE functions, including Risk Assessment creation and maintenance, observation card tracking, and safety toolbox meetings.
  9. Provide status updates and scheduled dates of completion to Customer.
  10. Quote orders from BHGE Polk Street (Navigation only).
  11. Perform end of month ASN and PO creation.
  12. Train employees as required.
  13. Create Routers.
  14. Manage the filing system.
  15. Maintain the Planning Tool Excel file.
  16. Coordinate freight and shipments (gages, product, etc).
  17. Respond to corrective actions.
  18. Participate in audits.
  19. Maintain thread protector inventory file.
  20. Perform stamping, packaging, and other non-machining duties to support shop production.
  21. Perform other duties as required.

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager or Plant Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED. Education requirements may be satisfied through alternative education and/or previous job experience.
  • EXPERIENCE: Background in manufacturing industry with exposure to order processes. Familiar with premium threading and thread gaging. Strong Microsoft computer skills (Excel and Word).
  • SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to interact directly with customer representatives.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Class III (Vallourec Tube-Alloy Physical & Environmental Requirements)
  • TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: As detailed in Minimum Training Requirements.
  • OTHER REQUIRMENTS: Must be flexible regarding shift hours and travel to multiple Vallourec locations.
