- Attend Induction Academy I for teachers new to D300: August 2026
- Provide consultation to teachers, parents and staff regarding individual/classroom instructional techniques to facilitate learning.
- Provide direct instruction as needed and/or co-teaching within classroom.
- Consult/collaborate with building staff to establish and plan goals in modifying instructional program(s).
- Assist team in creating and writing goals and objectives for student's IEP.
- Facilitate communication across team members and other staff as appropriate.
- Train instructional assistants as appropriate.
- Provide community-based instruction.
- In-service building staff and/or building students on disabilities and support services as appropriate.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers as needed per individual situation.
- Encourage socialization between students and their peers.
- Monitor record of student's progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
- Assist teachers and assistants in developing modifications and adaptation of regular curriculum.
- Assist in modifying regular curriculum programs and/or parallel curriculum programs to meet student needs.
- Assist, model and encourage teachers and assistants in developing and implementing programs or individual plans.
- Attend in-services, workshops, etc., related to program and job responsibilities.
- Assist in providing in-services, workshops to assistants and other school personnel, as appropriate.
- Complete assistive technology evaluations.
- Monitor assistive technology equipment and needs of students.
- Other duties as assigned.
