    Description:
    Full-time District 300 Plus Teacher
    Location: Elgin Community College

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Pick up district issued computer: August 2026
    • Attend Induction Academy I for teachers new to D300: August 2026
    • Provide consultation to teachers, parents and staff regarding individual/classroom instructional techniques to facilitate learning.
    • Provide direct instruction as needed and/or co-teaching within classroom.
    • Consult/collaborate with building staff to establish and plan goals in modifying instructional program(s).
    • Assist team in creating and writing goals and objectives for student's IEP.
    • Facilitate communication across team members and other staff as appropriate.
    • Train instructional assistants as appropriate.
    • Provide community-based instruction.
    • In-service building staff and/or building students on disabilities and support services as appropriate.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers as needed per individual situation.
    • Encourage socialization between students and their peers.
    • Monitor record of student's progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
    • Assist teachers and assistants in developing modifications and adaptation of regular curriculum.
    • Assist in modifying regular curriculum programs and/or parallel curriculum programs to meet student needs.
    • Assist, model and encourage teachers and assistants in developing and implementing programs or individual plans.
    • Attend in-services, workshops, etc., related to program and job responsibilities.
    • Assist in providing in-services, workshops to assistants and other school personnel, as appropriate.
    • Complete assistive technology evaluations.
    • Monitor assistive technology equipment and needs of students.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Illinois Licensure - LBSI Endorsement
