Job Purpose

In your role as a Refuse Restoration Specialist, you are responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing refuse collection vehicles and related equipment. This role focuses on auto body repair, surface preparation, metal and fiberglass work, and professional paint application to maintain vehicle safety, appearance, and operational longevity.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Inspects refuse trucks and equipment for body damage, corrosion, and structural issues
  • Performs auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural straightening
  • Repairs and restore metal and fiberglass components
  • Prepares surfaces for painting (sanding, grinding, filling, masking, priming)
  • Mix and applies automotive paints and coatings to achieve high-quality finishes
  • Ensures all repairs meet safety and company quality standards
  • Maintains tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
