    RSU 12

    RSU 12 is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2026�2027 school year. This full-time position will primarily serve students in grades K�8 at Palermo Consolidated School and will also provide speech and language services to Pre-K students throughout the district in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

    Position Overview

    The Speech-Language Pathologist will:

    • Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students with IEPs
    • Provide a small amount of case management duties
    • Conduct evaluations and write comprehensive evaluation reports
    • Develop and implement measurable IEP goals
    • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, educational technicians, and families
    • Participate as an active member of the IEP team
    • Support early intervention efforts for district students

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Maine licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure)
    • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
    • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
    • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
