Job Description

The Operations Intern works within the Operations department. This department is responsible for the receiving and distribution of our products while also maintaining a clean and safe work environment. To support these tasks, this position will: 

  • Learn the overall cycle of the Food banking process
  • Work daily with the Warehouse and Transportation teams to learn Operation processes
  • Learning correlations between Warehouse Operations and Transportation
  • Assist Operations teams with data analytics to help implement more efficient processes for our operations
  • Assist in AIB audit preparations to maintain and organize documentation

Skills: 

  • Compassionate, patient, and sensitive to the needs of people experiencing food insecurity  
  • Basic computer skills; typing, data entry, Outlook, Microsoft Suite 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
