Engineering & Program Management - Summer Intern

Department: Engineering / Program Management
Location: Newton, NC
Schedule: Full-Time Summer Internship
Reports To: Program Engineer Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Program Engineer Summer Intern to support program development, engineering documentation, process improvements, and cross‑functional project coordination. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to engineering program management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and program teams with project planning, tracking, and documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and change requests.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize data to support program timelines and performance metrics.
  • Participate in coordinating activities between engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Help prepare program reports, presentations, and status updates.
  • Review process workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with engineering trials, testing activities, and data collection as needed.
  • Maintain organized project files, documentation, and version control in shared systems.
     

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with CAD or engineering tools is a plus.
  • Interest in manufacturing, program management, or product development.
