Job Summary:




The Department of Endocrinology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Attending Endocrinologist. The successful candidate will:



  • Be a strong clinician educator dedicated to the care of patients with general endocrine diseases, and willing to play an active role in education and teaching for the Endocrinology Fellowship Program, and Internal Medicine Residency Program. 

  • Be presented with opportunities to participate in the clinical practice plan.

  • Be presented with opportunities to be formally involved with fellowship education and research for suitable candidates. 






Required Qualifications:





  • Medical Doctor Degree.

  • New York State Medical Licensure.

  • Completion of Residency in Internal Medicine.

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

  • Board Certification /Eligible in Endocrinology. 

  • Candidates with a focus in diabetes management and weight loss management and research are encouraged to apply.

  • A strong interest in clinical and/or translational research is highly encourage.
