Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY


Housing New Mexico’s Internship Program is a program designed for students majoring in marketing, advertising, or communications and is designed to provide participants with a meaningful, relevant work experience. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants may be assigned special projects and will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

· Assists with marketing-related responsibilities, such as graphic design, event planning, ordering branded promotional items and marketing printed materials.

· Assists with social media, including photography and videography, photo and video editing, scheduling and posting.

· Assists with communications-related responsibilities, such as writing and editing press releases, newsletters, flyers/brochures, email blasts, and social media content.

· Assists with ordering business cards and name tags for Housing New Mexico staff.

· Assists with other time-sensitive duties of similar nature as needed that may or may not be listed above.

· Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, and protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience

· Strong academic background as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior with an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

· Self-motivated and creative
