    About the role:

    We’re actively searching for a Superintendent, Mill Maintenance. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Manager, this roles serves as a key member of the Operations team, working collaboratively with various departments at the Cote Gold Mine Site.

     

     

    This position is responsible for leading all trades and job execution activities to ensure that maintenance operations in the processing plant are conducted safely, efficiently, and reliably. Close collaboration with Reliability & Engineering and the Planning Superintendents is essential. The Superintendent must consistently promote and uphold Iamgold’s Culture, Health and Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.
     

    Responsibilities:

    ·       Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and skill growth across all shifts.

     

    ·       Foster a positive, inclusive work culture built on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

     

    ·       Oversee the execution of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

     

    ·       Ensure effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance work, collaborating closely with operations and managing contractor performance.

     

    ·       Champion safety, health, and environmental compliance by enforcing policies, leading investigations, and maintaining SOPs/SWIs.

     

    ·       Conduct regular safety audits and training, promoting hazard identification, risk mitigation, and safe work practices.

     

    ·       Manage maintenance budgets and cost control activities, including contractor invoicing, service provider selection, and procurement support.

     

    ·       Maintain strong stakeholder relationships by communicating progress, supporting capital planning, and participating in strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.


    Key Skills & Knowledge:

College diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline such as fixed plant or electrical maintenance, mechanical or electrical engineering, or an equivalent program.

Trade certificate of apprenticeship and qualification is preferred.

     Relevant Experience:

Ten (10) years of related experience in maintenance or asset management, specifically in gold milling, mineral processing or a heavy industrial plant.

A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Extensive experience with crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, flotation, leaching, and gold recovery circuits.

Proficiency in CMMS software (such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for maintenance planning and scheduling.

Experience with condition monitoring technologies, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.

Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.

     Skills & Strengths, We Value:

Solid understanding of applicable mining legislation, regulations, and safe work practices.

Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflict, and build strong relationships across diverse and crosscultural environments.

Knowledge of Indigenous communities and issues related to the mineral industry, with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively.
