The Role
As an Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a group of assigned existing customers in the United States. In this role, you will regularly interact with your customer base and work closely with other team members to address and resolve customer issues, optimize program performance, and ensure the successful delivery of contract requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with business development and product colleagues to explore and propose new services with and to your customers. Key success metrics for the role are customer satisfaction, contract renewals, referenceability, and program expansions.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead and support both virtual and in-person customer meetings and presentations
- Preparation of regular and ad hoc program reports
- Assessment of program data and performance including problem solving and recommendations for improvement
- Cross-functional collaboration with other internal teams including but not limited to operations, product and business development
- Maintaining a focus on the customer with a commercial mindset
- Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision
- Other customer related projects as reasonably assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years experience in an Account Management, Customer Success or similar role, preferably with government customers
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Workspace
Work Environment
- Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice
- Dedicated home office space that allows a professional setting for virtual meetings
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when required to meet deadlines or resolve urgent customer issues
