Job Description

* $5,000 sign on bonus for Day shift position with 1-year Full Time employment commitment



* $10,000 sign on bonus for Night shift position with 1-year Full Time employment commitment



 



Starting Salary - $40.00/hr. 



 



Critical Care Paramedic will provide care and treatment of chronically or acutely ill and/or injured patients. Will work together with a team to adhere to the standards of care established by the protocols for the Critical Care Division, the Critical Care Paramedic will work hand in hand with our Critical Care Nurses to provide superior patient care in the ground transport environment. 



 



Responsibilities: 





•In collaboration with the patient and family, provides evidence-based professional patient care and coordinates care delivery with other members of the healthcare team 

•May be required to drive the ambulance to relieve the primary driver during trips with no patient onboard or to accommodate dynamic staffing needs 

•Administers and maintains pharmacologic agents and intravenous fluids during inter hospital transports 

•Operate and maintain proficiency with all equipment to in include cardiac monitors, ventilators, hi-flow, and IV pumps 

•Assists the EMT/Driver in maintaining unit readiness and ensures cleanliness and appropriate par levels for supplies used in the ambulance 

•Based on assessment of physical, emotional, bio-physical, and spiritual needs, provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes 

•Incorporates the principles of patient-centered care 

•Collaborates with online medical control physicians to manage the patient care of complex patients in transport 

•Communicates patients clinical information clearly and accurately in verbal and written format 

•Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patients medical record 

•Consistently demonstrates effective documentation practices and develops strategies to ensure complete documentation of patient care 

•Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations 

•Ensures safe operations during ambulance related activities in coordination with the Emergency Vehicle Operator 

•Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment of caring for patients and families 

•Provides basic patient comfort measures during procedures 

•Performs other duties as assigned
