POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Tech I supports plant operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment such as motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and machinery. This role ensures minimal downtime and efficient performance of all systems critical to production. The technician primarily works assigned shifts but may be required to respond to maintenance needs outside of regular hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Carry out tasks from preventive maintenance work orders, including lubrication, visual inspections, and replacement of filters, belts, and other components.
· Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen for irregular sounds to identify the causes of malfunctions.
· Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts.
· Use test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to diagnose issues.
· Inspect the form and texture of parts to detect wear or imperfections.
· Adjust functional parts of machinery and control instruments as needed.
· Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective components.
· Install functional and structural parts, lubricate, and clean equipment.
· Start and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
· Perform repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
· Conduct minor building maintenance and repairs.
Skills & Abilities
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED, preferred
· Technical training in the related field
Experience:
· One year of previous maintenance experience
· Previous experience in Manufacturing preferred
· Previous experience reading schematics and blueprints
Computer Skills:
· Experience with MS Office
Certificates & Licenses:
· Electrician Journeyman, preferred.
Other Requirements:
· Previous welding/fabrication experience, preferred.
