Summary:

As a Distribution Requirements Specialist, you will be executing transactions and tracks movement of products associated with the distribution requirements plan, including domestic movements, imports and exports. You will ensure that international material movements and tracking information are consistent with regulatory requirements. You are the point of contact for issues related to ensuring the efficient movement of material in support of minimum inventories and specified customer service level. You monitor metrics, conducts root cause analysis and takes corrective actions to address domestic/interregional supply movement issues. You assist in the resolution of issues related to supply, carrier, order placement and other supply chain issues to execute the distribution requirements plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for SAP Material Flow transactions including route maintenance and order material flow adjustment
  • Effectively interact with various functions – demand planner, customer service, logistics specialist, operations (warehouse), sales, corporate logistics, site logistics, business supply chain, external warehouse contractors, and service providers to assist in resolution of issues related to shipping or port upsets, carrier and freight forwarder performance issues, order placement/paperwork issues, transportation asset availability issues, verifying services of vendor for payment process/issue etc
  • Manages and coordinates export orders, working and verify dated with customer service delivery based on lead times and supply status in the warehouse, product transfers including import/export activities and customs clearance
  • Performs goods receipt, ensuring warehouse performs unloading and goods receiving of physical goods inventory matching with SAP system on timely basis or as per SOP
  • Performs goods issue, after physical goods picked up or left the warehouse in accordance with the internal control policy. Working closely with customer service and freight forwarders
  • Serve as contact point for contract warehouse operations to escalate issues associated with warehouse performance to resolve short term exceptions and coordinate with Logistics Specialist to perform root cause corrective Action analysis
  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and periodical physical count to ensure inventory accuracy.  Work with related parties on inventory variance root cause investigation and put corrective action in place
  • Perform waste disposal and inventory write offs from system as per approval from supply chain
  • Interact with warehouse for appropriate packaging/repackaging/labelling needs, monitor the appropriate metrics, conduct root cause analyses, and take appropriate corrective actions to address inter-regional logistics issues, participation in decision centers as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of working experience in distribution and warehousing, import and export function in manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Experience working on SAP
  • Experience in import and export is highly advantageous
