Role Overview

Engagement Managers, Analytics & Insights play a critical role in shaping and delivering high-impact analytics engagements at Chartis. This role sits at the intersection of client leadership, analytic problem solving, and technical execution, with a strong emphasis on serving provider organizations.

Engagement Managers lead end-to-end delivery of analytics work - from scoping and methodology design through execution oversight and executive storytelling. They work directly with client stakeholders, guide analytic teams, and ensure insights are translated into clear, actionable recommendations.

This is a hybrid role requiring both strong client-facing skills and technical credibility. The ideal candidate is not purely a hands-on developer nor solely a project manager, but a leader who can define the “how,” guide the work, and confidently engage both executives and analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics workstreams and engagements from problem definition through final delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client impact.

  • Serve as a primary client contact, facilitating working sessions and presenting findings to senior and executive stakeholders.

  • Scope engagements and define analytic methodologies, including framing business questions, identifying data needs, and structuring approaches.

  • Translate ambiguous provider challenges into structured, data-driven solutions.

  • Guide and oversee analysts in execution, including data analysis, modeling, and visualization, while ensuring rigor and quality.

  • Maintain sufficient technical depth to review code, validate outputs, and problem-solve alongside the team when needed.

  • Develop clear, compelling narratives and presentations that connect analytics to business value and operational impact.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across consulting and analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to innovate and scale analytics capabilities, particularly in provider-focused use cases.

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing coaching across both technical and professional skills.

  • Own engagement operations, including work planning, status tracking, and overall delivery accountability.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, consulting, or related professional services roles, with 3+ years in healthcare analytics.

  • Experience working with or supporting provider organizations (e.g., health systems, physician groups, value-based care organizations).

  • Demonstrated ability to own and lead workstreams or engagements end-to-end.

  • Strong client-facing experience, including facilitating discussions and presenting to executive stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to structure complex problems and define analytic approaches.

  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Experience working with modern data platforms; Snowflake experience strongly preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and experience developing executive-level deliverables.

  • Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Technical fluency in analytics tools and environments, including:

    o SQL (required)

    o Python or R (preferred)

o Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

Salary range: $137,000 -$180,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.

At Chartis, we pride ourselves on having a diverse workforce. We value and celebrate the uniqueness of individuals and the different perspectives they provide. We offer equal opportunity employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability status, age, marital status, or protected veteran status.
