- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization, including design, tooling, stress analysis, MRB, and manufacturing engineering, through coaching, training, performance management, and technical leadership, including customer and sales support presentations.
- Lead engineering capital appropriations supporting Technology Development, New Product Introduction (NPI), and capital replacement initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and operational priorities.
- Own the plant cost‑estimating process, including labor and non‑recurring costs, delivering timely and accurate estimates and proposals to Pricing and Customer Service teams.
- Support successful launch of new parts and programs by providing tooling, manufacturing documentation, and direct customer technical interface while ensuring schedule, cost, and budget adherence.
- Maintain and govern engineering standards, bills of material, routings, and configuration management systems to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with current practices.
- Provide responsive engineering support to production operations and customers, building strong customer relationships and supporting marketing and sales technical efforts.
- Plan, balance, and allocate engineering resources and budgets to match workload demands, ensuring teams are appropriately staffed to execute priorities and meet commitments.
- Champion operational, process, and technological improvements, while developing strategic partnerships with external suppliers and agencies to advance plant capabilities.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred, with working knowledge of AS9100 and Nadcap requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including statistics and data‑driven decision making (Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and effectively present to internal and external stakeholders.
