Our PRN Chaplain Will:

  • Provide coverage for our communities in Bennington, Fremont, and West Omaha on a PRN basis (0-20 hours per week), with hours varying based on current caseload and patient needs.
  • Conduct spiritual assessment of patients, families, and caregivers in the hospice program and provide individualized spiritual support. 
  • Ensure appropriate hospice services are rendered in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain records of spiritual care services utilization and related activities for quality assurance, program development, and policies and procedures review and revision.
  • Collaborate in planning of periodic memorial services to meet the needs of personnel, volunteers, and community clergy/spiritual counselors working with the hospice team.
  • Build strong relationships in a positive team environment throughout the community we serve.

Requirements

Our PRN Chaplain Has:

  • Experience with end-of-life spiritual care.
  • Availability to work a flexible PRN schedule (0-20 hours per week) depending on patient need.
  • The ability to be a self-starter and work effectively with little direct supervision.
  • The ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values while working in an interfaith setting.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
  • Graduated from an accredited seminary or school of theology (preferred).
  • Hospice experience (preferred).
  • A valid driver’s license and access to an insured and good working vehicle.
  • Strong technical skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to maintain confidential and privileged information (including HIPAA, residents, and associates).
