Afterschool Assistant � Cathedral School of St. Jude (2025�2026)

The Cathedral School of St. Jude in St. Petersburg is seeking a qualified Afterschool Assistant for the 2025�2026 school year. This is a permanent, part-time position, Monday through Friday from 2:30�6:00 PM, not to exceed 29 hours per week. The assistant will work with Early Childhood and Kindergarten students.

Job Responsibilities:

� Supervise and engage children ages 2�5 in age-appropriate activities

� Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment

� Support social, emotional, and developmental growth through play and guided instruction

� Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff

� Follow all school and state safety procedures

Requirements:

� Completion or progress toward DCF�s 40 clock hours and 5 hours of literacy training

� Experience working with children ages 2�5; CDA is a plus but not required

� Required Diocesan Safe environment and related classes.

� Level II background screening clearance; required DCF and Diocesan fingerprints.

� Ability to follow guidance from administration and work well with others

Pay is based on education and experience.
