Position: Service Technician
Four Corners Building Supply in North Charleston, SC provides high-quality window and door systems supported by a manufacturer-driven service department. We hire technicians who diagnose and repair using documented procedures—not guesswork.
Role Summary
The Service Technician services and repairs residential and light commercial window and door systems, with a strong focus on impact-rated products. This is not an entry-level role and requires independent field troubleshooting and strict adherence to manufacturer service manuals.
Core Responsibilities
- Service and repair vinyl, aluminum, and aluminum-clad windows and doors
- Diagnose operational, hardware, glazing, air, and water issues
- Distinguish product-related issues from installation conditions
- Follow manufacturer service manuals, technical bulletins, and documentation exactly
- Service swing, sliding, multi-slide door systems, and window units
- Document findings and completed work clearly
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams

Experience with or willingness to learn service procedures for:
- Kolbe
- JELD-WEN
- Windsor
- Origin
- EuroWall
- Ply Gem
Technicians are expected to learn and apply each manufacturer’s service manuals, which define the service scope and standards for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Window and door service or installation experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and structured troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and apply manufacturer documentation
- Experience with impact-rated products
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 80 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and outdoor work
