Ownership Define and promote best practices and design principles for data

warehousing techniques, architecture

Domain Help in technological decision making for the business’s future data

management and analysis needs

Hands On Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on data warehouse

systems

Cross Team Provide day-to-day support of the data warehouse management
Ownership Assist in improving data organization and accuracy
Cross Team Collaborate and work with data analysts, scientists and engineers and
ensure best practices in terms of data processing and storage
technologies used

Automation Automate the process of rolling out changes to underlying data

warehouses or reports/insights

Guidance Mentor and develop junior developers in the team
Passion Ensuring that all deliverables adhere to our world-class standards
SECTION 5
Qualifications & Experience
• More than 3 years overall experience in Data Warehouse development and database design
• Software solution development using Hadoop Technologies such as MapReduce, Hive,
Spark, Kafka, Yarn/Mesos etc.
• Expert in SQL, worked on advanced SQL for at least 2+ years or as a Data warehouse
administrator
• Good development skills in Java, Python or other languages
• Experience with EMR, S3

• Knowledge and exposure to BI applications, e.g. Tableau, Qlikview
Must Have Skills
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
● Expert in at least one of the Big Data Technologies
● Expert in SQL, worked on advanced SQL for at least 2+ years or as a Data warehouse
administrator ● Software solution development using Technologies such as MapReduce, Hive,
Spark, Kafka, Yarn/Mesos etc.
● Good Development and coding skills in Python, Java and RDBMS(Sql Queries)
Good to Have Skills
● AWS cloud exposure with S3, Redshift
● Understanding of Cluster Resources & Management
● Experience with Python is preferred
● Experience with Spark is preferred
● Knowledge around scalable service architecture
