Mopec is currently searching for a Quality Supervisor. This is an “onsite or remote” position and will be based at our Madison Heights, MI Location

About the Role:

The Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing quality control activities, leading a team of quality inspectors and technicians, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. The Quality Supervisor collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify quality issues, develop corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. They also ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and conducting regular audits. Ultimately, the Quality Supervisor drives a culture of quality excellence that supports the company’s commitment to delivering superior products to the market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, QS, IATF or equivilent.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, or Lean principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Quality Auditor (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor) or Quality Engineer preferred.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and advanced data analysis software.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the industry, such as FDA, ISO/TS standards, or other compliance frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a quality department.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to identify defects or deviations.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve quality problems.
  • Train and mentor quality personnel on quality assurance techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, and audit findings.
  • Communicate quality performance and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
