What you’ll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer, your main responsibility will be to architect, design, and implement scalable and robust backend systems. These systems will handle high volumes of data and will be the bedrock on which our developer platform stands.

You’ll work closely with our CTO and other engineers to ensure seamless data integration and availability. From building APIs to implementing complex data algorithms, your work will directly contribute to transforming the energy data landscape.

• You're not just an engineer, but a back-end savant, skilled in a multitude of languages and technologies
• You have a deep understanding of distributed systems and can make design decisions that scale
• You're no stranger to data storage solutions, be it SQL, NoSQL, or otherwise
• You enjoy collaborating with frontend engineers to create seamless product experiences
• You're ready to take on data processing challenges that come with handling massive, real-time data streams
• You can effortlessly switch between microservices and monolithic architectures depending on needs
• You're self-driven and can work independently, but also appreciate the dynamics of a team environment
• A solid understanding of event-driven architecture, message queues, and real-time data processing

What you’ve done

• A minimum of 6 years in backend engineering
• Proven experience in designing and building scalable and reliable backend systems
• Strong problem-solving skills, backed by excellent communication capabilities
• Comfortable working in an agile development environment
• Bonus: Familiarity with the energy sector or data-intensive applications
