JOB TITLE: Tommie Mascot
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus (potential to travel)
HOURS: 4+ Hours a week (dependent on number of events each week/weekend)
PAY: $17/hr
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tommie Mascot position will work close with the St. Thomas Spirit Squad teams to cheer on the Tommies at athletic events, on-campus events, and in the St. Thomas community. Students will get training to be a mascot performer and help promote the Tommie brand. This position is for the 2026-27 academic school year.
MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING & TRYOUTS:
This position requires candidates to attend an informational meeting prior to participating in a tryout. Detailed information about the tryout process will be provided via email by the hiring manager.
Candidates are expected to attend one of the scheduled informational meetings and one tryout session. If you are unable to attend any of the listed dates, you may coordinate with the hiring manager to arrange an alternative time.
Informational Meetings:
- Monday, April 21 | 12:00–1:00 PM
- Tuesday, April 22 | 12:00–1:00 PM
Tryout Sessions:
- Monday, April 27 | 6:30–7:30 PM
- Wednesday, May 6 | 6:30–7:30 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend monthly meetings
- Attend community events
- Can commit to working a minimum of 4 or more hours a week (please keep in mind that this changes based on sport seasons & appearance demands.)
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Height Requirement of 5'8" - 6'2"
- The suit is made to accommodate certain sizes of bodies. Potential squad members must meet the height requirement listed above.
- If you do not fall within the height range but are close, still apply as we can see if we can "fit you in."
- Must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled at St. Thomas

- NCAA Post-Season Tournaments
- UCA Camp in Wisconsin Dells (August)
