    School Social Worker 

     

    Prospect Mountain School District is seeking a dynamic school social worker. The primary role of the School Social Worker is to identify and assist students, families, and school systems to overcome barriers that interfere with learning through the use of assessment, counseling, and consultation, coordination of school and community resources, and program development. Provide brief crisis counseling and referral services. Serves on a multidisciplinary team(s) to address needs of students with or without disabilities to assure implementation of appropriate services.  This position requires knowledge of local and state resources that support unmet needs of our students and their families. 

    School Social Workers will conform to the standards established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) code of ethics. Provide direct brief counseling services on an individual, small-group, or family basis. Serves on a multidisciplinary team(s) to address needs of students with or without disabilities to assure implementation of appropriate services, programming and/or placement.

    Minimum Requirements: NH certification as a Social Worker or eligibility with a (MSW) Masters in Social Work. Demonstrates knowledge, competence and interest in serving disadvantaged students and their families.
