SCOPE
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for building and execution of email campaigns via our marketing automation system. Main responsibilities include implementation of all email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, setup and deployment. This position reports to the Marketing Automation Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up, test and execute automated and dynamic e-mail campaigns for lead generation and nurturing, trigger-based campaigns, as well as ad-hoc emails. This includes building forms and dynamic content.
- Define audience and build targeted segmentation for e-mail campaigns based on sales and engagement.
- Responsible for setting up the approval reviews for e-mail campaigns for suppliers, newsletters, events, brands, and other internal departments, ensuring deadlines are met. Take necessary actions if the deadlines will not be met and find alternative methods to accomplishing goals in the same timeframe.
- Implement testing methodologies (A/B testing) within all elements of email marketing to improve engagement and program performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders, departments and external contacts.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, brand consistency and overall customer experience in email communications.
- Work closely with in-house copywriters and designers to provide guidance on email best practices.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Experience building campaigns using Eloqua or similar marketing automation tools desired.
- Process-oriented thinker, motivated team player, resourceful with strong problem-solving and technical aptitude.
- Experience working against tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment keeping a keen eye on detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Mac or Microsoft Windows environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in the Marketing field –or – an equivalent combination of education and marketing experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 2-4 years of e-mail usability, deliverability and best practices, including proofing, linking, accuracy, tracking and functionality experience required.
Senior Marketing Automation Specialist
- Identifying/ testing new area of use on marketing automation tools, including but not limited to dynamic contents for the region.
- Monitor day-to-day database health, identifying/escalating serious issues.
- Track, monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance vs. benchmarks.
- Trains and mentors other team members
- Able to make independent judgements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of e-mail usability, deliverability and best practices, including proofing, linking, accuracy, tracking and functionality experience required.
