Job Description

Provider Onboarding Specialist 

Anesthesia Physician Practice Management  |  Addison, TX  |  Full-Time 

 

Position Overview 

Manages the final phase of provider onboarding by working directly with insurance payers to obtain and confirm active participation status for incoming anesthesia providers. Tracks all payer workflows in Monday.com and coordinates with QGenda to ensure an active payer status is complete before a provider’s first scheduled date. 

Position Details 

Reports To:  Enterprise Product Manager 

Location:  Addison, TX 

Type:  Full-Time | Non-Exempt 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Submit and manage payer applications for new providers (physicians, CRNAs, AAs) with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers. 

  • Follow up with payers to obtain active status confirmations and effective dates. 

  • Track all enrollment tasks and statuses in Monday.com. Keep records current and flag delays. 

  • Cross-reference QGenda schedules to ensure payer applications are complete before a provider’s clinical start date. 

  • Coordinate with credentialing, billing, and operations teams throughout the payer onboarding process. 

  • Resolve issues and escalate unresolved payer problems to leadership. 

  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in provider onboarding or credentialing. 

  • Knowledge of commercial and government payer (Medicare/Medicaid) enrollment processes. 

  • Experience with Monday.com or similar workflow tools; QGenda familiarity a plus. 

  • Familiarity with PECOS, NPPES, CAQH, and Availity. 

  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple files at once. 

  • Healthcare Administration degree or NAMSS certification (CPCS/CPMSM) preferred.
