Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time ED Paramedic to join our Emergency Department Team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.

Summary:

Provides professional and clinical healthcare services to Native American beneficiaries. Promptly identifies and assists with emergency medical situations according to the EMT standards based on level of licensure.

Responsibilities:

* Works cooperatively with other employees and hospital staff
* Monitors patients in lobby and completes hourly rounding documentation
* Accounts for daily activities
* Assists patients in/out of vehicle when necessary
* Completes patient follow-up calls as assigned
* Completes unit chart reviews and collect data as assigned
* Attends in-services, staff meetings, and EMS training as required
* Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
* Provides care per appropriate level of licensure as set forth in the State of Oklahoma approved protocols
* Performs supportive tasks related to patient care
* Adheres to accepted policy and standards of the facility and other regulatory agencies
* Uses consistent, tactful, and cheerful etiquette at all times
* Attends continuing education and refresher training programs as required by employers, medical direction and licensing agencies
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency

Credentials:

Essential:
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
* Pass general background check
* Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
* Standard Driver's License
* National Incident Management Training



Essential:
* Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire, if not current
* Must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire, if not current
* Continued employment dependent upon maintaining an EMT certification at the appropriate level of licensure. National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is preferred.

Working Conditions:

* Stressful environment due to any or a combination of deadlines, pressures, multiple tasks, lines of communication, risks, speed of operations, etc.

* May be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotions
