POSITION SUMMARY
The Human/Veterinary Applications Specialist serves as a trusted clinical and technical expert supporting Esaote North America’s sales and service teams throughout the Western U.S. territory, including California, Arizona, and Colorado.
This role is responsible for delivering impactful product demonstrations, customer onboarding, advanced applications training, and ongoing clinical support for Esaote ultrasound systems in both human and veterinary settings. The Applications Specialist plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, increasing product adoption, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and educator with deep clinical ultrasound expertise, commercial experience, and the ability to adapt across a wide range of customer environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clinical and technical support for ultrasound system demonstrations, customer evaluations, and sales initiatives across the Western U.S. territory.
- Deliver on-site and remote applications training for human and veterinary customers to ensure successful system adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Esaote ultrasound products, clinical workflows, and imaging applications.
- Support customers by troubleshooting clinical application issues and coordinating with service teams for resolution.
- Represent Esaote at trade shows, conferences, workshops, and educational events through presentations and live demonstrations.
- Develop relationships with clinicians, veterinarians, and Key Opinion Leaders to support education, product awareness, and customer engagement.
- Assist with marketing initiatives, product launches, and development of clinical imaging content and educational materials.
- Maintain current knowledge of ultrasound technology, imaging protocols, and clinical best practices while mentoring internal team members and sharing expertise across departments.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program required
- ARDMS multi-credentialed preferred (RDMS, RVT, RDCS)
- Minimum 10 years of clinical ultrasound experience
- Minimum 5 years in a commercial applications, training, or clinical support role within the medical device industry
- Experience supporting both human and veterinary imaging environments preferred
- Strong presentation and customer engagement skills required
- Prior territory-based or regional travel experience preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, and imaging principles
- Knowledge of current clinical standards and imaging protocols
- Strong troubleshooting and system operation capabilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Comfortable delivering both in-person and remote education sessions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and transport up to 60 lbs., including ultrasound systems and demonstration equipment
- Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territories, including overnight travel
- Ability to work in hospitals, clinics, imaging centers, veterinary hospitals, and outdoor animal care settings
- Ability to safely interact with animals during veterinary procedures
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation in accordance with the ADA
WORKING CONDITIONS & TRAVEL
- Remote field-based position covering California, Arizona, Colorado, and surrounding Western U.S. territories
- Up to 80% travel required, including overnight stays
- Occasional international travel may be required
- Exposure to varied clinical environments, temperatures, noise levels, and sanitation conditions
