Engineer subsea pipelines that power a safer, more sustainable energy future.

At Worley, we’re delivering a more sustainable world. As a Lead Offshore Pipeline Engineer, you’ll guide the strategy, execution and quality of offshore pipeline engineering—helping our customers deliver reliable energy today while accelerating the transition to lower‑carbon solutions.

Purpose of the role

You will lead discipline scope for one large or several smaller offshore projects—owning safety, quality, cost and schedule for pipeline engineering. You’ll set the execution approach, coordinate across disciplines, develop and review key deliverables, mentor the team, and drive data‑centric, compliant, and constructible solutions across the full lifecycle.

Core responsibilities

  • Discipline leadership: Define and own pipeline scope, cost and schedule; plan quality; lead squad checks; manage changes and progress; coordinate with Project Management.
  • Project execution: Develop studies, calculations and detailed engineering; review alternatives and document decisions (technical queries/deviations); approve work by direct reports.
  • Technical excellence: Enforce standards, codes and good practice; standardize specs, data sheets and templates; champion checking, peer reviews and lessons learned.
  • Procurement support: Define specs, testing requirements and MRs; lead bid clarifications/evaluations; review vendor information across disciplines.
  • Site support: Contribute to constructability/operability/maintainability; prepare commissioning/operations inputs; support construction, pre‑commissioning and handover.
  • Business partnership: Support proposals (discipline execution strategy, estimating, content) and build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors.
  • People development: Mentor Level I/II engineers and designers; plan coverage; support training and performance feedback; foster a safe, inclusive and high‑performing team.
