We are a semiconductor materials business, ACST(Advanced Cleans & Slurry technologies), focused on Wet Cleans and CMP Slurry solutions for advanced manufacturing nodes in Qnity, the electronic material company. This role leads innovative chemical formulations and process optimization to meet stringent requirements such as selective cleaning, minimal damage to metals/dielectrics, and reduction of defects/pattern collapse across GAA, High-NA EUV, HBM, and 3D NAND. You will drive products from lab concept to high-volume manufacturing (HVM) in close collaboration with customer fabs and equipment OEMs to enable high yield and low defectivity.
Responsibilities
Design formulations and optimize process conditions (DOE) for Wet Cleans & CMP Slurry; scale-up from bench to pilot/HVM
Screen functional components (organic/inorganic/chelators/corrosion inhibitors/surfactants) and elucidate interactions/mechanisms
Evaluate selectivity and impact on etch/corrosion/swelling for metals, oxides, hard masks, and resists
CMP optimization for removal rate, selectivity, dishing/erosion, scratch, including pad–slurry–device interactions
Develop innovative approaches to new raw material synthesis, and processing in collaboration with internal R&D and external raw material suppliers.
Drive documentation, patents, technical presentations, and internal/customer design reviews
Pre‑HVM verification and manufacturing transfer considering Quality/Safety/Regulatory (ESG, RoHS/REACH)
Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Qnity’s Core Values: Customer, Innovation, Speed, and People
Qualifications
Ph.D or Mater’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Materials/Polymers or equivalent research experience
Hands‑on experience in Wet Cleans or CMP Slurry formulation & testing (acid/alkaline, redox/chelating, surfactant systems)
Background in colloids/surface chemistry/corrosion/EDL/slurry stabilization
Hands-on experience in synthesis technology with proven record in organic synthesis and material development
Experience in the semiconductor, specialty chemical or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
Strong analytical and critical thinking with the ability to make data driven decisions and actionable recommendations
