Making Cell Leader

Supports the Production Supervisor and Production Team in accomplishing daily production results within the Making department. This role requires previous leadership experience and strong knowledge of the Making operational system or similar manufacturing systems. The Making Cell Leader is responsible for executing process trainings, supporting team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining efficient production flow.

Responsibilities:

Leads and executes daily cycle counting activities across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

Ensures adherence to the cycle count schedule based on ABC inventory classification

Supports Production Supervisor in daily production operations and team coordination

Executes process training for team members and ensures understanding of standard operating procedures

Maintains safe work areas and promotes required safe behaviors

Ensures proper use of required PPE and safe equipment operation

Demonstrates safe entry procedures while operating equipment

Follows proper ergonomics procedures including lifting and bending techniques

Manual lift equipment safely operated such as pallet jacks

Follows work instructions, job aids, and standard operating procedures

Completes required production QA documents and production tracking records

Ensures compliance with GMPs and good documentation practices

Verifies materials loaded and used on the line meet target quality standards

Properly performs rework and reintroduces materials into the process when needed

Completes RCA, operating, and troubleshooting tasks as trained

Supports other production areas as directed by Supervisor

Participates in Centerline audits, CIL activities, and machine changeovers

Demonstrates hands-on knowledge of defined equipment operations

Maintains positive teamwork and follows Plant Code of Conduct and Handbook policies

Experience:

6+ years of production line or similar manufacturing experience

3+ years of chemical-related production process experience

3+ years of team leader or similar leadership experience

1+ year of Making Line Team Leader experience preferred

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Specific Knowledge:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Package

FIFO System

Material handling documentation process

SAP system

Quality Windows system

Wonderware software
