SUMMARY:
Provides organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team. Communicates effectively via a variety of modalities with patients, visitors, and facility staff and plays an integral role in communication across the continuum of care. Functions as a resource to members of the health care team and is familiar with hospital resources. Secretarial activities complement the patient care delivery model. Carries out all aspects of the job using good judgment and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, and assumes responsibility for self-development within the role and participates in continuous improvement activities. Supports the healthcare team by anticipating and responding to team requests and patient needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certificate (“CRC”).
Experience: No minimum experience.
Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Potential to work on rotating shifts. Holiday and work during inclement weather will be required. May be asked to work longer hours and assignments may change during shift. Floating to other units is occasionally required, based on hospital needs.
