Job Description

SUMMARY
This role is a hands-on, high impact position in outdoor operations and environmental stewardship, focused on maintaining and 
enhancing the beauty and aesthetics of Tamarack Resort. You’ll play a key part in creating welcoming, well- kept outdoor spaces,
maintaining everything from landscaping and grounds acre to seasonal operations like event setup and winter safety. The work is 
dynamic and varied- combining technical skills, teamwork, and problem solving while operating professional grade equipment and 
maintaining essential systems. This position offers a chance to work independently and part of a team, develop practical skills, and 
stay active in a fast-paced outdoor environment. It’s ideal for someone who takes pride in visible results and enjoys contributing to a 
space that people rely on and appreciate every day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Landscaping & Maintenance
Mow, trim and prune trees and shrubs, weed beds, and edge lawns and native grass areas.
Plant seasonal flowers and other yearly vegetation to maintain resort aesthetics

Identify and treat weeds, pests, and fungi using approved fertilizers or herbicides.
Facilities & Guest Areas
Perform daily "building checks" to ensure outdoor furniture and signage are clean and functional.
Rake leaves, clear plant debris, and remove trash from all common areas.
Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper water coverage.
Equipment Operation
Safely operate power equipment, including riding and push mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and utility vehicles.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are 100% operational.
Seasonal Specifics
Summer: Assist with event setup/breakdown
Winter: Perform snow removal from walkways and assist with de-icing and sanding.


QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below

Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, farming, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; Tamarack 
is willing to train motivated candidates.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
License: Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50–60 pounds regularly.
Stamina to walk several miles a day and stand for long periods.
Comfort working in all weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, and cold).
Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
LANGUAGE SKILLS 
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental 
regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and 
respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


REASONING ABILITY 
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
Requires possession of valid Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort insurance 
carrier. Must have own reliable mode of transportation.
