Job Description
You will be the Low Observable Engineer Staff for the Signature Management & Survivability Team which is responsible for advancing low‑observable technology, modeling, simulation, and customer engagement.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Low Observable Engineer Staff you will be responsible for delivering cutting‑edge signature reduction solutions and guiding program milestones.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform, analyze, and communicate vehicle signature predictions using Unix‑based codes and tools.
- Plan and execute laboratory measurements of material coupons to determine physical, electrical, and environmental properties.
- Research, design, fabricate, and test advanced electromagnetic metamaterials.
- Develop and maintain signature prediction tools in Python, C++, C#, Java, and Fortran.
- Lead R&D plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to solve aircraft survivability challenges.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Optics
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired skills
- Previous experience in low observables (LO), survivability, or susceptibility
- Experience with radar cross section reduction (RCSR) or radio-frequency (RF) antenna design/integration
- Expertise in LO modeling and predictions: Computational electromagnetics (CEM), Hybrid Finite Element, Boundary Integral method (FE-BI), Method of Moments (MoM), Xpatch, SENTRi, HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, FDTD, Saber
- Experience with LO integration / multi-discipline air vehicle systems design
- Knowledge of RADAR, RF materials, RF material measurements
- Programming with C/C++, Java, Fortran, Matlab, Python
- CAD software literacy for model cleanup and meshing

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
