Position Title – Front Office Registrar
Reports to – Manager
Position Goals
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to multi-task and demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills. Confidentiality assisting patients and their families as they check-in and check-out the facility. Collection of copays and patient responsibility portions for services received as well as the ability to balance daily collections.
Position Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Greet patients pleasantly and promptly upon check-in and check-out, providing excellent customer service
• Answer phones in a timely and professional manner
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
• Verification of insurance prior to discharge of patient and clear communication to the patient regarding the details of the verification
• Maintain patients’ charts with the appropriate data entry, insurance information and organization as well as demographic entry into the computer system
• Daily balancing and preparation of operational packets
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and Privacy standards
• Ability to sit at desk and utilize phone and computer for long periods of time
• Handling of routine requests from Office Manager
• Maintain front office cleanliness, including the lobby and entry areas
• Daily scanning and support of billing department for required documents
• Assisting in patient transfers

Position Requirements
The requirements for employment with Patients ER & Hospital are:
• Minimum of one year experience in the medial field (preferred)

•Maintain standards of dress attire
•CPR certification obtained within thirty days of hire.
