Job Description

Purpose of the position
Leading a team of engineers and technicians to optimize production process, improve product quality, and ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve technical challenges, and align manufacturing strategies with organizational goals.

 
Duties and Responsibilities          

  1. Project Planning & Execution
  2. Define requirements, technical specs, deliverables, and timelines via cross-functional collaboration.
  3. Allocate resources (human/material/equipment) to meet budget and deadlines.
  4. Build schedules using Gantt charts/Critical Path Method (CPM) and track milestones.
  5. Identify risks (technical/production/supply chain) and develop mitigation strategies.
  6. Technical Integration
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration:
  8. Translate technical specs into production workflows; resolve production issues (process parameters, equipment calibration).
  9. Process Optimization
  10. Analyze production bottlenecks and propose improvements (e.g., automation, process reengineering).
  11. Implement Lean/Six Sigma to reduce defects and costs.
  12. Maintain technical documents (specs, SOPs, ECNs) and share knowledge via training.
  13. Resource & Cost Control
  14. Monitor project costs (IDL/ DL labor/materials/equipment) to avoid overspending.
  15. Provide data-driven insights (ROI, cost-benefit analysis) for technical decisions.
  16. Quality Assurance & Problem Solving
  17. Lead root-cause analysis (e.g., 8D method) for defects and drive corrective actions.
  18. Address customer feedback/ pass down and coordinate recalls or improvements as needed.
  19. Project Closure
  20. Coordinate final lesson learn, client acceptance, and handover.
  21. Compile post-project reviews to document successes/failures and suggest process improvements, summary wish list.
  22. Innovation & Partnerships
  23. Evaluate new technologies (equipment/materials/processes) for feasibility and impact.
  24. Collaborate with F1 partners (TPM/ Ops/ NPO/ AME) for R&D and innovation.
Education and work experience
  • Electronics Manufacturing: At least 3–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing (e.g., production line upgrades, technology transfers).
  • Process Knowledge: Familiarity with critical stages of manufacturing: assembly, testing, packaging.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working with R&D, production, quality, and supply chain teams to execute technical projects.

Work experience:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Engineering disciplines (priority): Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Materials Science, Computer Science, etc.
  3. Management disciplines: Industrial Management, Supply Chain/Project Management (requires technical expertise or relevant experience).
Skills
  1. Strong technical and analytical mindset.
  2. Cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  3. Results-driven with a focus on process optimization and problem-solving.
  4. Language Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus.

Working conditions

  • Office-based role, fast-paced work environment
  • This position must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies and be available to work non-core hours or overtime to complete various projects without interruption to operations.
