Role Description

Principal Financial Group in Hyderabad is hiring a Technology Operations Center – Senior Tech Analyst. This is an outstanding chance to work with a top-tier team dedicated to reliable IT operations and seamless process management. Your responsibilities include proactively watching over IT applications, systems, and infrastructure to guarantee steady performance and fast anomaly response. Your technical foresight and effective communication will support operational stability, alignment to ITIL standards, and timely reporting to application teams and business participants.

Job Responsibilities

Application & System Monitoring:

  • Monitor and proactively report IT application and system issues to application teams and business collaborators.
  • Track and bring up anomalies to relevant teams, ensuring timely action and clear communication.
  • Conduct detailed investigation, documentation, and handling of customer concerns whenever required.

Technical Expertise:

  • Show proven expertise in Mainframe Operations / CA7 consoles, and possess a clear comprehension of Command Center Operations.
  • Have a solid grasp of IT infrastructure, application monitoring tools, network fundamentals, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Analyze and solve issues related to applications, systems, networks, and end‑user devices.

Operational Excellence:

  • Maintain high quality of work while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure accurate operational documentation, logs, and knowledge articles.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to team processes, SOPs, and operational workflows.

Process & Governance:

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Event Management.
  • Drive alignment with operational standards, governance practices, and compliance requirements.

Reporting Relationship

This role will report to the IS Delivery Manager.

Education

  • Graduate – bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred)
  • Preferred certifications: Any Monitoring tool certifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Indicative years of total experience: 6 – 8 years
  • Solid knowledge of Command Center Operations, Mainframe Operations, CA7, Control M, Balancing and Scheduling, Java, Elastic search and Kibana: Application health, system availability, latency, performance, and end-to-end monitoring.
  • Previous experience monitoring and troubleshooting critical systems.
  • Practical experience with Mainframe CA7 and familiarity with Dynatrace, Tivoli, SolarWinds, Meraki, SCOM, ServiceNow.
