Job Summary
Perrine Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time 4th-grade teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment, promote student growth, and support the academic, social, and emotional development of each child. This position requires a passion for teaching young learners and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive classroom.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support student learning and address individual needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and promote a respectful and positive classroom culture.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Contribute to the school community through participation in meetings, committees, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license for elementary education.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a diverse and inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of all students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance instruction.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary school setting is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
