Ashley is the #1 Furniture and Mattress company in North America. Red Mountain Retail owns and operates Ashley in North and Central Alabama.
We are looking for an analyst to maintain and improve the company's inventory by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which products are selling and which are not.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
- Allocating inventory to the correct ASHLEY store as it comes into the warehouse and arranging for pickups and shipments.
- Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports, from previous inventory reports to national purchasing trends.
- Performing regular inventory counts.
- Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control.
- Coordinating with other workers to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue.
- Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.
- Travel to our 10 locations in North and Central Alabama. Travel up to 75% of the time.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, marketing, or a related field with 1+ years of experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, math, and multi-tasking skills.
