WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our OEM Factory Technical Representative, you’ll be the boots‑on‑deck expert for Seakeeper Ride—supporting OEM partners across the Great Lakes region and wherever else the work takes you in the Northeast. You’ll tackle installs, commissioning, training, and troubleshooting head‑on, helping bring vessel control to life while keeping our partners confident and our product dialed in. You’ll make an immediate impact to our customer experience by:

  • Owning OEM integrations and installations from planning through execution
  • Providing OEM partners with technical training, supporting successful future installations
  • Acting as the go-to technical contact for regional customers providing fast and effective troubleshooting support by phone and email
  • Performing full installations and acting as the lead for hands‑on mechanical and electrical aspects for demonstration and training
  • Running sea trials and commissioning while documenting system performance
  • Relaying field insights and customer feedback to engineering to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintaining a company vehicle, including preventative maintenance, mileage reporting, and overall presentation of the vehicle with pride and accountability
  • Representing Seakeeper Ride with uncompromising standards for safety, quality, and professionalism

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Do you have a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to hustle in a fast-paced environment? Then Seakeeper is the place for you! Here are a few other specifics you’ll need to have to succeed.

MUST-HAVES

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a marine technician
  • Reside in the Great Lakes region of the United States with a willingness to travel the majority of the time
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • A constant positive, professional, and customer-centric attitude
  • Self-motivated, professional, responsive, resourceful and flexible
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a passport, lift 70+ pounds, drive extended distances (periodically up to 8-12 hours, commonly 2-4 hours), and work on extended business trips including some nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in confined areas (such as engine rooms, equipment spaces, bilges on board various types of marine vessels) including climbing up/down ladders, stooping, bending, lying down, and working in challenging conditions
  • Be fluent in the English language (verbal & written)

MORE DETAILS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW

  • On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)
  • This is a remote position, covering the Great Lakes region, as well as supporting the Northeast
  • You’ll be on the road a lot, averaging 70% of the time, including some nights and weekends
  • Although this position is focused on supporting our customers in the Great Lakes and Northeast, you could be expected to travel to other regions, possibly even internationally, to support Seakeeper Ride customers
  • This role reports to the FTR Manager, based remotely in New Jersey

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT HERE

It’s true that we make extraordinary products, but our favorite part about Seakeeper is our people! We believe in participative leadership. That means you have the freedom to make a difference and contribute to the larger goal, regardless of your position. Great ideas can strike at any moment, and when you have one, you’re empowered to speak up!

We are constantly pushing (or crushing) boundaries. Stagnant or bored are about as opposite from Seakeeper as you can get! We move quick and if there is something that can be improved upon, we jump on it.

WHO WE ARE

71% of our Earth is covered by water and we want everyone to make the most of it. That’s why we are committed to creating products that transform the boating experience with an organization that employees want to work for, customers want to buy from, and vendors want to partner with. Seakeeper Ride, a Vessel Attitude Control System, eliminates underway pitch and roll, making time on the water safer and more comfortable for everyone on board.

Seakeeper was founded in 2008, growing from a start-up operation to the worldwide leader in stabilization thanks to its popular line of gyrostabilizers. Seakeeper Ride launched in 2022 and is the first product deviation from that line, bringing the magic of Seakeeper to boats while underway. There’s a long runway of growth ahead as more and more OEMs adopt Seakeeper Ride as standard equipment and we work to make aftermarket refits a reality.

Ready for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? Want to help us disrupt an industry? Come on and apply, we are ready for you!
