Job Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide variety of activities, including, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with federal and local labor laws. This role contributes to fostering a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, the HR Generalist advises managers, supervisors, or administrators on all HR practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Collaborate to share best practices, leverage resources, and ensure consistency
- Advise and assist management and employees on labor related issues, such as employment contracts, termination, compensations, and benefits
- Assist the HR Manager in overseeing the day to day functions of the HR, HRIS and Benefits teams
- Handles sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations and company policies
- Assist employees with questions in the ticketing system
- Assisting in the drafting, renewal, and maintenance of employment letters and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Regularly review and update processes and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices
- Lead project meetings and makes presentations
- Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations
- This position may require periodic travel to RailPros headquarters, field offices or client offices, work sites and other project related locations
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
- Uphold the organization’s standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all duties and interactions
